Besaid US V10: Case Study

Posted under: Case Studies by Joel

Besaid.Us V10

Besaid.Us V10

Besaid has been my personal site for 9 years now. This site saw me from the humble beginnings of knowing very little HTML and CSS. At first, I only owned Besaid.net, but in 2004 I had to close it down because I was going to get my college education. While in college, I missed having my own website and after a few months that Besaid was closed I tried opening it again. However, the Besaid.Net was already owned by someone else. I then bought Besaid.us. Besaid.US is like my testing site, because I always try to push limits on how I can improve on it. So in Novemeber 2004 Besaid.US V1 was released and since then I pushed far and beyond to make it looks better and work better.

Following the same process as all my site; this site features the following:

  • Fully Dynamic Site using PHP
  • Custom Control Panel created from scratch with PHP and MySQL and XML for RSS Feeds.
  • Custom Time lapse of the Design. At 7:00pm EST the design changes to be a night design.

The time to create this version specifically was: 2 Weeks. View it here.
